The report examines the potential for an Öresund Metro between Copenhagen and Malmö. A metro can create a larger, stronger labour market and at the same time solve transport capacity challenges.

The report describes and evaluates three organisation and financing models for realising an Öresund Metro. Based on the economic analysis, it is assessed that there are no major economic differences between the three models.

The report elucidates the socioeconomic effects of a metro between Copenhagen and Malmö. The traffic geographic and socioeconomic effects are described focusing on how a metro can improve sustainable growth in the cities and the region as a whole.
